For students wanting to join a club, click on the links below to find out more.  A club is a great way to practice the skills you learn in your lessons and to socialise with other fencers.

Clubs will usually have group sessions to warm-up and then break out into one-on-one fights to put your skills into practice.
At a club you will get the chance to fence with “electrics”. You will wear a special jacket called a lamé that conducts electricity and is attached to an extendable wire. This then connects to a scoring box that registers when you hit your opponent.
You or your child may also be able to take a beginners’ fencing course at a club.

Marlborough Fencing Club
All weapons are represented at this club, but it’s particularly good for épée and sabre.

Newbury Fencing Club
All weapons are represented at this club, and it’s a good club to learn at.

Newbury Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) Club
For those looking for something a little different,  why not try HEMA?
HEMA is a fun, modern sport based on historical and traditional swordplay.
